Baum, Sophia
While in middle school, Sophie participated on the middle school basketball team and in 7th grade, was named captain. She thoroughly enjoys watching Netflix, The Bachelor, and hanging out with friends. Sophie‘s favorite middle school memory is when she was Color War captain in 5th grade. She loves being Jewish because it's a very welcoming community. She loves learning Torah and hearing very interesting stories.

Benzaken, Mika
While in middle school, Mika has accomplished plenty like working with her peers. She thoroughly enjoys creating art through digital media. Mika‘s favorite middle school memory is when there was a snow storm in 6th grade. She loves traveling to Israel and viewing the kotel and visiting family. Lastly, Mika dreams of going to places she has never been to and owning an art studio.

Besterman, Gabe
While in middle school, Gabe won multiple CVL competitions and was a color war captain. He thoroughly enjoys playing sports, learning Torah, and supporting Israel. Gabe’s favorite middle school memory was this year’s color war. He loves how the Jewish people help and take care of each other. Lastly, Gabe dreams of being the head rabbi when Mashiach comes.

Bloomberg, Mia
While at JKHA, Mia participated on the middle school basketball team and the yearbook committee. She thoroughly enjoys closing her computer at the end of ZOOM class, hanging out with friends, and watching Netflix. A favorite middle school memory was the school trip with all of her friends to High Exposure. She loves being part of the Jewish community because no matter how you practice as a Jewish person, everyone is connected by Torah. Mia does not know what the future holds for her but is excited for what is to come.

Breskin, Yehuda
While Yehuda was in Middle School he enjoyed his Gemara classes very much. Yehuda loves to read Marvel and Star Wars comics. His favorite memory of school was being with his friends on Shushan Purim. Yehuda loves to put on Tefillin and to daven. He especially loves all of the Jewish holidays, except the fast days. Yehuda hopes to be an engineer, a cook and a book author when he grows up.

Cohen, Avi
Avi particularly enjoyed his mainstream Gemara and Chumash classes while he was in Middle School. He thoroughly enjoys playing Pokemon, basketball and soccer. He always liked his gym class at school. Avi loves to be part of a Minyan and he likes to give Tzedakah to Israel. He dreams of becoming an author one day.

Cohen, Molly
While in middle school, Molly has participated in the Names Not Numbers Program. She thoroughly enjoys creating drawing, painting, and 3D modeling. Molly’s favorite school memory is when the middle school girls had an under night at school. She enjoys learning about Jewish holidays and spending them with family. Lastly, Molly dreams to use her 3D skills to create an innovative game.

Dickman, Maya
While in middle school, Maya has participated on the yearbook committee and volunteered at The Friendship Circle. She thoroughly enjoys skateboarding, roller skating, and baking. Maya‘s favorite middle school memories were when she went on the 7th grade shabbaton and the last day of school ice skating in 6th grade. Something she loves about being Jewish is the traditions and holidays. A way she would love to support Israel at some point in her life is by buying Israeli bonds and planting trees in Israel. Lastly, Maya dreams of becoming an actor.

Djebali, Mia
While in middle school, Mia has learned many things but has enjoyed her math classes most. She thoroughly enjoys sewing and making jewelry and wants to learn to crochet. Mia’s favorite middle school memory is when she spent time with her friends. She loves going to Tel Aviv with her family. Lastly, Mia dreams of becoming successful and rich while living right on the beach making luxury items. She mostly wants to be happy.

East, Ayala
While in middle school, Aya has been on the soccer team and was a part of the torah bowl team. She thoroughly enjoys hanging out with friends and playing sports. In her free time, Aya aspires to be an artist; runs track, rides horses and enjoys nature. Aya‘s favorite middle school memory was the 7th grade Shabbaton, going on the 8th grade trips, and 8th grade LA and math class’s. Aya LOVES everything about Shabbos and wishes it could be shabbat all week long! Lastly, Aya dreams of working at an ice cream store, making aliyah with her family and serving in the IDF.

Ehrlich, Emunah
While in middle school, Emma Ray has made the honor roll, received a Scholastic award, and read 10 book series.She thoroughly enjoys reading and writing fan fiction stories. Emma‘s favorite middle school memory is going ice skating at the end of 6th grade. She loves reading and translating the Chumash and asking questions about it. Lastly, Emma dreams of getting one of her novels published and becoming a world-famous author.

Eisenberg, Koby
While in middle school, Koby participated on the hockey, basketball and soccer teams. He thoroughly enjoys hanging out with friends, playing sports and eating food. Koby’s favorite middle school memory is the 7th grade shabbaton. He loves the state of Israel and hopes to visit there soon again. Lastly, Koby does not know what he wants to do yet but he can not wait for the future.

Elizirov, Nicole
While in middle school, Nicole has worked her hardest to excel academically. She thoroughly enjoys spending time with her family and friends and laughing late at night. Nicole‘s favorite middle school memory is when she walked in on the first day of school and saw all of her fellow classmates and teachers. She is planning and looking forward to spending a year in Israel after she graduates from high school. Lastly, Nicole dreams of excelling in school and later becoming a lawyer.

Filhart, Ophir
While in middle school, Ophir ran a book drive that collected 1,300 books for the Bridge Of Books Foundation. He thoroughly enjoys playing tennis. Ophir‘s favorite middle school memory is going to the MET. He loves celebrating the Jewish holidays, especially Pesach. Lastly, Ophir dreams of becoming a scientist.

Fink, Michal
While in middle school, Michal participated in the student council as a sixth grade representative and treasurer. She also participated in Torah Bowl in seventh grade and eighth grade. She thoroughly enjoys watching Netflix, online shopping, and baking random recipes from the Food Network. Michal's favorite middle school memory is the 5th grade Color War and getting attacked by students who wanted Mike and Ikes at the lunch snack shack every Friday. She loves learning Torah, especially the meaningful and inspirational stories. Lastly, Michal dreams of becoming a surgeon and having her own TV show called Fink's Anatomy.

Fusman, Eden
Throughout her middle school experience, Eden has happily participated in the JKHA soccer team with many of her friends. During her free time, Eden can often be found playing soccer, or dominating the tennis courts every Friday. Eden often enjoys hanging out with her friends at school and shopping. If Eden was given an opportunity to do a Chesed, she would donate her hair to sick children in Israel. Lastly, Eden dreams of moving to Israel and following in the footsteps of her parents and becoming a doctor.

Gutkin, Ilan
While in middle school, Ilan has made the soccer team every year, including being the only sixth grader to make the team two years ago. He thoroughly enjoys playing soccer both in school and out of school. Ilan‘s favorite middle school memory is opening his Navi in Rabbi Feit’s class each day. He will try to help Israel by donating money and buying bonds. Lastly, Ilan hopes to become a good parent for his kids in the future.

Hammerman, Eitan
While in middle school, Eitan has benefited from the sports teams. He played hockey in 8th grade and basketball in 6th grade. While playing sports, Eitan learned how to become a better leader and a better sports player. Aside from sports, Eitan has participated in various math competitions. They helped him become a better thinker and learner. In his spare time, he plays hockey, basketball and baseball. Eitan‘s favorite middle school memory is when the boys went on the 7th grade shabbaton. He enjoyed hanging out with his friends in a different community. Eitan loves to keep shabbat because it adds another day in the week without distractions. Eitan hopes to become a successful person in whatever field he chooses to go into. He also desires to be a father and be able provide for his family.

Hara, Soly

While in middle school, Jonah has never been in trouble. He thoroughly enjoys playing baseball, football, and video games. Jonah‘s favorite middle school memory is when he got a 113 on a test. He loves all the Jewish holidays. Lastly, Jonah dreams of being a billionaire.

Hindin,Sarena
While in middle school, Sarena has been involved in the Yearbook committee, Names Not Numbers, and Daglanut. Additionally, she ran for student council and has worked hard in school. She thoroughly enjoys hanging out with friends, the ocean, organizing, biking, reading, and laughing. One of Sarena‘s favorite middle school memories was the Shabbaton in Seventh grade. Additionally, going to the Holocaust Museum in New York City was an experience she will never forget. She was born in Israel, and although she moved when she was young, it has always been an important part of her life. In the future, she would love to go back to Israel and spend time in her homeland. Sarena would like to thank all of the teachers, faculty, and friends that have made her experience at JKHA unforgettable.

Isler, Elisheva
While in middle school, Elisheva participated on the 6th grade girls’ basketball team. She thoroughly enjoys reading all different types of books. Elisheva‘s favorite middle school memory is when there was color war. She enjoys helping others through chesed. Lastly, Elisheva dreams of reading books.

Katz, Evie
While in middle school, Evie participated on the 6th Grade basketball team and has been a volunteer at Friendship Circle. She thoroughly enjoys dancing, painting, skateboarding, and braiding her or other people’s hair. Evie‘s favorite middle school memory is when her grade went ice skating in 6th grade. She loves the tradition of lighting candles with her mom every Shabbat. Lastly, Evie dreams of becoming a famous actress one day.

Kesselman, Shlomo
While in Middle School, Shlomo made good friends and wonderful memories. He thoroughly enjoyed hockey and hanging out with friends. A highlight of Shlomo's time in Middle School was his Bar Mitzvah. Shlomo especially liked going to school in a Jewish environment and he hopes to keep learning Torah after he graduates. Shlomo dreams of becoming a computer engineer.

Klein, Jonah
While in middle school, Jonah has learned to become a better tennis player. He thoroughly enjoys playing soccer on the school team, partaking in math competitions, and playing chess. Jonah's favorite middle school memory is when the whole class spent the day in New York at Central Park and the MET. He always loves when he journeys to Israel and gets to daven at the Kotel. Lastly, Jonah dreams of being able to create and design his own webpage.

Klibanoff, Jackie
Throughout middle school, Yoshi has been on the hockey team in sixth and seventh grade and hoped it would happen in eighth grade as well. Her favorite middle school memories were color wars, trip days, and shabbatons. Outside of school, Yoshi enjoys playing tennis and spending time with her friends and family. She is also so grateful for the summers she spends at camp Morasha with all of her friends. Yoshi is very excited to show her love of chessed and her love of Israel as she hopes to participate in Kol Hanearim when she is older, which is a home for at risk youth. Lastly, Yoshi does not know what her future will look like but is excited to find out.

Klugmann, Emma
While in middle school, Emma has been an editor on the yearbook committee.
She thoroughly enjoys watching Grey’s Anatomy all night (instead of doing her school work). Emma’s favorite middle school memory is 5th grade color war.
She loves learning Gemara, Chumash, and Navi, especially the many inspirational and meaningful stories. Lastly, Emma dreams of becoming a surgeon or a social studies teacher (and marrying Patrick Dempsey).

Koppel, Abigail
While in middle school, Abby has been a member of both the soccer and basketball teams. She thoroughly enjoys scrolling on TikTok for way too long and doing random things for no reason at all. Abby‘s favorite middle school memory is when she was the sixth grade Color War captain and being a benchwarmer on the middle school girls basketball team. She loves learning from her mistakes in Ivrit class and loves to celebrate the Jewish holidays. Lastly, Abby dreams of passing high school and getting into a decent college and maybe even getting married one day.

Langman, James
While in middle school, James has been on the hockey team, soccer team and participated in the Toshiba science competition. He thoroughly enjoys playing sports and hanging out with friends. James‘s favorite middle school memory is getting the chance to interview a Holocaust survivor for Names Not Numbers. He loves spending time with family on holidays and is excited to go to Israel soon. Lastly, James does not know what his future will look like but is excited to find out.

Leeds, Benjamin
While in middle school, Ben has participated on the basketball and Torah Bowl teams. He thoroughly enjoys the outdoors and particularly enjoys fishing and lawn care. Ben‘s favorite middle school memory is hanging out with my teammates before basketball games. My favorite holiday is Sukkot and my funniest ZOOM memory is when I was drinking a ginger beer and everyone thought I was drinking alcohol. He loves Israel and loves volunteering at zionist charities, including JNF. Lastly, Ben would like to live in a warm state, become a respected real estate agent and retire very early. Additionally, he would love to spend time in the woods to try and survive off the land, maybe even applying to be on a survivalist show with his expertise.

Litvintchouk, Kalman
Kalman enjoyed his Judaic Studies classes in general and his mainstream Gemara class in particular. He is also happy about the friendships he made while in Middle School. Kalman loves to read as well as to interact with other students. Kalman thought that the Chanukah activities at JKHA were especially fun. Kalman loves learning about Jewish History. He hopes to be the owner of a construction company one day in the future.

Maltz, Ezra
While in middle school, Ezra has participated on the 6th grade basketball team. He thoroughly enjoys playing basketball, baseball and football. Ezra‘s favorite middle school memory is from 6th grade, when we went on a roller skating trip and got pizza. Something Ezra likes about being Jewish are holidays such as Pesach, Purim, and Chanukah. Lastly, when Ezra is older he would like to be an architect.

Maltz, Kayla
While in middle school, Kayla has participated in daglanut. She thoroughly enjoys playing sports such as soccer and basketball. Kayla‘s favorite middle school memory is when her class went ice skating on the last day of school in 6th grade. She would love to visit Israel, to see her family. Lastly, Kayla dreams of being a doctor or a nurse when she grows up.

Mordekai, Julia
While in middle school, Julia has enjoyed learning about the Holocust in the Names Not Numbers program. She thoroughly enjoys playing basketball and hockey with her brother and before COVID, she enjoyed helping out in her shul by taking care of kids as a group leader. Julia‘s favorite middle school memory is when her grade went ice skating in sixth grade. She would like to go to Israel and help with rescue dogs and underprivileged children. Lastly, Julia dreams of working in the sports industry field and maybe becoming a broadcaster.

Muller, Tzvi
While in middle school, Tzvi enjoyed learning in his different classes. Tzvi enjoys reading books, taking pictures, bike riding, traveling, and taking taekwondo. Tzvi’s favorite middle school memory is having lunch with his friends in school and playing cards. He loves being Jewish when he can be with friends on shabbos. Tzvi also enjoys making his parents proud when he davens for the Shul and also does Hagbaah. Lastly, Tzvi dreams of becoming an architect or an author when he gets older.

Munk, Arieh
While in middle school, Ari competed with the Torah Bowl team. He thoroughly enjoys playing football and baseball. Ari‘s favorite middle school memory is going to the MET in fifth grade. He loves celebrating the Jewish holidays, especially Purim. Lastly, Ari dreams of becoming either a defense attorney or a veterinarian.

Nativ, Talya
While in middle school, Talya participated and enjoyed soccer with a few of her classmates. She also enjoyed participating in the 8th grade Daglanut dance, even though we were uncoordinated. She thoroughly enjoys getting called impulsive by teachers, watching Netflix, Hulu, and Tiktok all night long and declining Emily’s FaceTime calls. Talya‘s favorite middle school memory was the 7th grade Shabbaton, color wars, and getting skirted the first day of school. One of the reasons she loves being Jewish, is being a part of a larger community and all the holidays she spends with her family. Lastly, Talya doesn’t know what she wants to be yet, but hopefully a type of doctor.

Orbach, James

Pittinsky, Tzofiya
While in middle school, Tzofiya has been an active member of Torah Bowl. She thoroughly enjoys watching Grey's Anatomy and FaceTiming her friends. Tzofiya‘s favorite middle school memory is when there was a blackout in school and being Color War captain in 6th grade. She loves to learn Navi and hear all of the interesting stories from Tanach. Lastly, Tzofiya dreams of being a Navi teacher and making aliyah one day.

Plotsker, Joseph
While in middle school, Joey has learned the importance of being Jewish. He thoroughly enjoys playing video games on the weekend. Joey‘s favorite middle school memory is sixth grade Color War. He loves hanging out on shabbat with family and friends. In Israel, he would love to visit the kotel. Lastly, Joey dreams of one day moving to Florida and owning a koi pond.

Rosenberg, Eliana
Eliana has learned to work hard at all times while in middle school. Thanks to all of her mentors, she became a successful student this year. Eliana displayed maturity, friendship, and appreciation. She truly enjoys always being active which means playing sports and hanging out with friends.Eliana has no favorite middle school memory because everything that related to her was unforgettable. Given a tough year, she enjoyed her final year of middle school, which included Names Not Numbers, silent DJ, and three days of field trips. Eliana is who she is because she is Jewish. She doesn't know where she would be as a Jew if she didn't have a relationship with Hashem. Finally, Eliana aspires to be a self-sufficient woman who works hard to make many people happy. She would love to do this by just being herself.

Rosenberg, Michael
While in middle school, Misha played on the sixth grade basketball and played basketball with his friends almost every day. He thoroughly enjoys playing guitar, riding his bike and playing video games with his friends. Misha’s favorite middle school memory is the seventh grade shabbaton. He loved it because he got to spend time with his friends on shabbos and do a bunch of fun activities. He loves Israel and his favorite thing about it is being able to see the Kotel, an actual part of the Beit Hamikdash.Lastly, Misha dreams of being either a teacher or hosting some sort of sports show.

Rosenbluth, Naomi
While in middle school, Naomi was able to participate in the Names Not Numbers program which was a really meaningful experience and taught her a lot. She enjoys learning sign language after school and reading in her free time. Naomi’s favorite middle school memory is when there was a program for Rosh Chodesh where her grade was able to have a period to talk with our Judaic teachers and ask anything, so she was able to have a lot of fun and meaningful conversations. She loves the special atmosphere a Jewish school creates, how much everyone cares for one another, and the amazing Jewish holidays each year. Lastly, she wants to be able to pursue her education in sign language which she has been learning for three years, and be able to get the opportunity to communicate more with the deaf community.

Rosenfeld, Simon
While in middle school, Simon has been on the hockey team in 6th and 7th grade and was looking forward to his 8th grade season. A highlight of the hockey team was playing goalie in the championship game. Simon also proudly represented the middle school as president of the Student Council, advocating for donuts and color war. He thoroughly enjoys playing sports and eating with friends. Simon‘s favorite middle school memory is his 8th grade trip to Washington D.C. - it was a blast. He loves celebrating Jewish holidays with his family and looks forward to visiting Israel again soon. Simon dreams of becoming an architect and starting his own architectural firm.

Rothstein, Tamar
While in middle school, Tamar was on the 6th grade basketball team. She thoroughly enjoys watching TV and hanging out with friends. Tamar’s favorite middle school memory is when she did Kochavey Kushner in 5th grade and won with her class. She loves the fact that her whole Jewish story goes back so far and even though there were times when the Jews didn’t win a fight they still didn’t give up hope in Hashem. Lastly, Tamar dreams of becoming an amazing mother just like hers.

Rutner, Andrew
While in middle school, Andrew has enjoyed participating in Torah Bowl, along with learning new things in class and making new memories and friendships along the way. He thoroughly enjoys making music outside of school, playing video games (obviously), and hanging out with his friends every Shabbos. One of Andrew‘s favorite middle school memories was when the school power got cut off, and everyone had to walk around in the dark for 3 hours. Andrew has a deep love of Judaism, and he expresses it during davening and throughout class every single day. Even though he has never been to Israel in his life, he would love to go there and visit the Kotel. Lastly, Andrew dreams of becoming a game designer when he grows up because of everything that he has learned in school and at home. Not only will he learn valuable skills along the way, but it will also put his countless hours of playing video games into use.

Savitz, Adina
While in middle school, Adina spent lots of time with her friends, whether in person or virtually during Covid. Her friends appreciate her sense of humor and her teachers are happy with all her hard work. Adina was a starter on the girl’s hockey team in 6th grade, and also played on the basketball team. She was planning on double sporting soccer and hockey if the season had not been canceled. Her favorite memory in middle school was the 8th-grade Un-Shabbaton, but she is really looking forward to a real high school Shabbaton. Adina loves spending her summers at camp Ramah and vacationing at the beach with her family. Adina likes to connect with her Jewish heritage by making challah for her Shabbat table and has been known to teach her friends how to do so over FaceTime. In the future, Adina looks forward to attending RKYHS.
She thoroughly enjoyed to play Hockey in her early middle school carrier. Although she hasn’t played a game since 6th grade, she hopes to join the high school team. She also played on the middle school basketball team in seventh grade. If this year hadn’t turned out the way it did, she would have liked to play hockey and soccer at the same time. This may seem very challenging, but she believes she could have done it.
Adina‘s favorite middle school memory is when, in middle school was the 8th-grade unshabbatton, but she is really looking forward to a real high school Shabbaton.

Segal, Jeremy
While in middle school, Jeremy has learned to support his classmates when they answer a question correctly or try to answer it correctly. He thoroughly enjoys hanging out with friends and talking to them during the day. Jeremy’s favorite ZOOM memory is when he told his teacher that she was glitching but the teacher thought he said the “B” word. He loves the holidays and celebrating them with my family. Lastly, Jeremy’s dream is to become a lawyer or a doctor when he is older so he will have money to help people who are poor.

Silver, Marinella
While in middle school, Marinella joined a whole new school, made lots of friends, and learned Hebrew. She thoroughly enjoys dancing, ice skating, and doing cartwheels with no hands (aerials). Marinella’s favorite middle school memory is when she fell asleep on ZOOM in Language Arts class and heard Mr. Bergman and Ms. Levenson talk about how class was over yet Marinella was still on the ZOOM. She loves how everyone at JKHA is brought together by Judaism, united to their religion and acts like a family. Lastly, Marinella dreams of helping people overcome their issues and becoming a dancer/choreographer on Broadway.

Simon, Aryeh
While in middle school, Aryeh helped the boys’ hockey to the championship but sadly they lost. He thoroughly enjoys playing sports,hanging out with friends and cooking for his family. Aryeh’s favorite middle school memory was during a ZOOM class one day, Rabbi Selengut was muted for the last four minutes of class. When he realized it was too late because the bell rang. He loves to go to Israel to spend time with his family in Hod Hasharon. Lastly, Aryeh dreams of running a marathon and traveling the world.

Sinnreich, Noah
While in middle school, Noah has enjoyed math class and learning torah. He also participated on the middle school basketball team for two years. He was also the vice president of the Student Council. He thoroughly enjoys mountain biking and chilling with da boiz. He also enjoys playing basketball with his friends. Noah´s favorite middle school memory is when, chills with the basketball team. His favorite holiday is Chanukah. His favorite funny ZOOM memory is in 7th grade when Mr. Samot’s son was vibing with us. He loves the holidays, Shabbos and of course, Torah. Lastly, Noah dreams of owning my own business and being a billionaire from Bike Express.

Spiegelman, Aerin
While in middle school, Aerin has been a part of the debate team. In her free time, Aerin enjoys spending time with friends and shopping. Aerin‘s favorite middle school memory was the blackout day in school. She enjoys Ivrit class and she hopes it will help her if she visits Israel. Lastly, Aerin dreams of becoming a writer.

Suleymanov, Eden
While in middle school, one of the main things Eden has accomplished was competing in a writing competition and getting her story published. Eden loves to play the piano, write fiction stories, and she loves to watch DC shows and movies. Eden’s favorite middle school memory is when she first came to Kushner after she switched schools. She remembers feeling like the most important person in the world when she saw how nice everyone was. When she saw the size of the school, she felt like a millionaire. One of the things Eden loves about being Jewish is that it helps her know what the right thing is and what the wrong thing is. Religion has helped her a lot with important decisions in life and she is grateful for that. Lastly, Eden’s dream is to become a psychologist and help people. When she has free time, she loves to listen to music and make some of her own.

Szmigielski, Talia
While in middle school, Talia learned in Rabbi Selengut’s class that going to Israel isn't time travel. She thoroughly enjoys watching “Selling Sunset”, making TikToks, and hanging out with her friends. Talia's funniest ZOOM memory is when she yelled at her brother during class but didn't realize she wasn't muted. She loves being Jewish because she feels like everyone is so close with each other and all a united team. Lastly, Talia dreams of working in a real estate company.

Throughout her middle school experience, Emily has participated in a variety of extracurricular activities, such as middle school hockey and basketball in 6th and 7th grade. She hoped that she could continue playing on the hockey and basketball teams in 8th grade, but since the seasons were canceled due to Covid, she was not able to have the opportunity to be the oldest grade on the teams and possibly be a captain. However, she is excited to play on the sports teams in high school, while sadly returning to being the youngest player on the teams. When not in school, you can find Emily

Waldstreicher, Meira
While in middle school, Meira competed with the Torah Bowl team, participated in Daglanut, and was on the Yearbook Committee. She thoroughly enjoys watching hockey, specifically the New York Rangers. Meira ‘s favorite middle school memory was last year when the school lost power. Having class in the dark was so much fun. She enjoys the camaraderie of the Jewish people and loves watching how we all connect every day. Lastly, Meira dreams of inspiring women all around the world by becoming the first woman General Manager in the NHL.

Wiater, Julia
While in middle school, Julia has made new friends. She thoroughly enjoys spending time with her friends and watching Netflix. Julia‘s favorite middle school memory was the seventh grade Shabbaton. Something about being Jewish that she loves is spending time with her family and friends during Shabbat. Lastly, Julia dreams of living in Italy next to the beach.

Wolkoff, Dahlia
Prior to middle school at JKHA, Dahlia came from a Montessori school with no tests or grades to now receiving high marks in all of her subjects. She thoroughly enjoys dancing, gymnastics, and exercising with her dog, Nalle. Dahlia also devotes herself to advocating for women’s rights and other social justice issues. Her favorite middle school memory is spending lunch time laughing with her friends in Morah Hertzberg's office before COVID and being able to connect with so many of her amazing peers. Dahlia plans on participating as a young leader in various Isaeli support groups like AIPAC and JNF once she is old enough to do so. Lastly, Dahlia dreams of becoming a successful emergency room doctor while living in her birthplace and second home, Savannah, Georgia.

Zeif, Kira
While in middle school, Kira worked as the Editor of the Yearbook, which gave her the ability to demonstrate her leadership skills. She also spent her 7th grade year on the Debate Team, where she had the opportunity to practice her argument skills. Kira also enjoyed participating in Daglanut in 8th grade. She thoroughly enjoys watching movies with her friends and family. Kira's favorite middle school memory was the time when there was a power outage in school, and she and her friends spent the entire day taking pictures in the dark. Her favorite Zoom memory was the Yom Ha'atzmaut concert, singing and dancing with the whole school even if we were each in our own homes. She enjoys learning everything from her Jewish history to the deeper meaning behind the words and arguments in the Mishna. Kira looks forward to having another opportunity to visit Israel, where she will spend time in Yerushalayim and with her cousins. Lastly, Kira dreams of having a job relating to current events and politics, where she will be able to put her writing and research skills to work.
