Building Capacity Through Development

The work of our Development Office supports the mission of JKHA/RKYHS to provide a strong dual curriculum program along with an outstanding academic, Judaic and social experience for all our students. We are deeply committed to helping our families who prioritize Jewish education and who require assistance to afford the cost of our Yeshiva’s top quality education. Along with our unwavering commitment to make our school affordable and accessible to our families, we must also remain fiscally responsible and balance our operating costs.

To accomplish this vital mission, and to meet the growing tuition assistance needs of our families, our Development Office creates and builds philanthropic partnerships with members of our community, parents and supporters who share our mission and vision, and who are passionately committed to continually raising the bar for educational excellence.  Our goal is to engage and cultivate our parents, grandparents, alumni, alumni parents and members of our wider community to support our important mission.

Along with our Board of Trustees, our Development Committee, our educational leadership and dedicated volunteers, the Development Office leads, promotes and inspires philanthropic giving to our institution through these key initiatives:

  • Annual Campaign:  Gifts directed to the JKHA/RKYHS Annual Campaign include The Annual Dinner, The ATID Society and other innovative gift initiatives, including Parnas HaYom and Tribute Dedications, all of which allow us to bridge the gap between tuition and the expenditures necessary to provide educational excellence to our students.
  • Major Gift Campaigns:   Gifts to the L’Atidenu Financial Assistance Endowment Fund will help build a robust, permanent endowment to provide funding for the more than 50% of our JKHA/RKYHS students whose families require financial assistance to afford the cost of our Yeshiva’s exceptional Jewish education.  The Campaign for Excellence is part of a unique challenge grant that will provide $5 million of infusion funding to elevate academics throughout our Yeshiva and to secure investment for capital improvements so our students continue to learn and flourish in a state-of-the-art learning environment.
  • JKHA/RKYHS Alumni:  Our department also works with over 1700 alumni to engage and inspire them, and keep them connected through email campaigns, reunions, and special events celebrating their connection to our school. Our alumni are our advocates, our ambassadors, and our supporters.

We strive to create the right environment in our school and in our community to help ensure the school’s continued success. JKHA/RKYHS is grateful to the many families whose generous support sustains our school every year. Each gift is deeply appreciated and makes a difference in helping us reach our fundraising goals.
